Long Bio:
I grew up on a rhythm-loving French state off the coast of Madagascar, called ” Reunion Island.” Yes, there is such a place: http://www.wikipedia.org/ReunionIsland. If you see a world map without this island on it, it’s a BAD map. There seems to be many of these floating around, so feel free to correct it should you see one. :)

Music attracted me early on in life. I was frequently found playing my 4 older brothers’ instruments when they weren’t around. Thankfully, my parents finally bought me my own bass for my 16 th birthday (even though they got burned by my brother who gave up the trumpet). I practiced hard day and night, and 6 years later came to the United States to play with a ministry I met in France.

I met Steven Potaczek of 1000 Generations while playing at a church. I thought, (read with a lovely Louisiana accent) “whoa, he can play them keys real good!” Soon after, he mentioned starting the band, and we were blessed to have the most important thing working: we get along really well. We absolutely love playing together.

I don’t get back to Reunion Island much, but am blessed to have my own family here in the States. I’m married to a wonderful violinist (who plays with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra much of the time) and we have two beautiful boys. I do hope to see you sometime at a show. I love meeting new friends out on the road. Be sure to stop by and say “bonjour!”

Notes: One person really can make a difference. In August 2011, the band 1000 Generations released this video for their song “It Could Be Me” (from their critically acclaimed EP “Wrecked For the Ordinary”). Both the song and video are born from the belief in the power of simply doing something.
