I did something very liberating the other day...I got rid of all my books about pregnancy and raising a child. My due date is only a week away and I have finally come to terms with the fact that I will not know everything there is to know about parenting in a weeks’ time.

So now the baby room is done, the books are no more, and we’re just chillin’ waiting for the big day. Steven put it perfectly the other night when he said, “You know it’s like when you’re going up a roller coaster and you’re climbing the hill to a huge drop. You get to the top when the cart kind of stops and then you’re just waiting for it to fall and you go down screaming your head off. That’s where we’re at now…here’s to the roller coaster ride ahead!
